Dragon Quest Treasures releases December 9 on Nintendo Switch
A new spin-off from the dragon quest releases worldwide this December 9 on Nintendo Switch. Treasures of Dragon Quest players explore the childhood escapades of Erik and Mia, siblings who first appeared in the game Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
In the game, players take control of Erik and Mia as they explore a treasure hunter’s paradise that offers limitless adventure. Spoils are ripe for picking in treacherous places. This means players must recruit monsters and use their treasure hunting abilities. Let these creatures help you run across open fields, leap up cliffs, and slide across open chasms. These same monsters can also aid players in their fights against rival treasure hunters.
By collecting treasures, players can increase the value of their vault. This in turn allows them to expand their base and increase their brigade of friendly monsters.
The dragon quest is composed of RPGs created by Yuji Horii. The series is loved by fans not only in Japan but also around the world. The first one dragon quest was released in Japan in 1986. It was released in the United States in 1989 and titled dragon warrior.
Since the initial release, over 84 million units have been shipped worldwide, with 11 main series titles. There are also spin-off games and other media such as movies, anime, novels, manga, and spin-offs. dragon quest holds various Guinness World Records, including “Longest Japanese RPG Series”. The series celebrates its 36th anniversary this year.
Along with creator and game designer Yuji Horii, the team behind this legendary series also includes Akira Toriyama (creator of dragonball) and composer Koichi Sugiyama. The team has long enchanted new players and long-time players alike, especially with how each new entry in the series offers a good mix of charming visuals, exciting stories, and captivating music.
The last installment is Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age, released worldwide in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and PC. An improved version called Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition was launched on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
