original article [Tue 11th Oct, 2022 01:30 BST]: Sonic Frontiers hasn’t even been released yet, but Sega has already made quite a few DLC announcements. Now, it’s announced that it will also be partnering with Capcom to offer Monster Hunter-themed DLC, completely free!

Sega will release Sonic Frontiers on November 8, and a week later, on November 14, this themed DLC will be up for grabs. In this free collaboration pack, players will receive gear based on the Rathalos and Felyne Rathalos, and can also play a “grilled meat” BBQ Spit mini-game to power up Sonic.

Here are the two companies’ social media announcements, along with special artwork:

Some of the free DLC already announced for Sonic Frontiers includes the VTuber DLC with pre-orders in Japan, and Sonic fans who sign up for Sega’s newsletter will receive a pair of shoes based on those from Sonic Adventure 2.

On a related note, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is out now. Capcom is well on its way with rolling out its regular free title updates – the third should be available by the end of November.
