Here are all the events of October 2021
October 2021 is here, and every Halloween lover knows what that means – it’s time to get spooky in any way you can. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is no exception, as the Nintendo game spends the entire month of October preparing for Halloween. However, this year gamers have even more to look forward to throughout the month, including a special Nintendo Direct dedicated to the Brewster update discussion. Here is each event for October 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Take part in a fishing event in ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ in October
Get your fishing rods and bait ready because another fishing tournament is on the way. On October 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., players in the northern and southern hemispheres can enter to win rewards. Speak to CJ at the Resident Services building to start the timer. The more fish you catch, the more points you receive. Then you can redeem your points for prizes like the fish door plate, fish dryer, cooler cooler and more.
October even brings a new rotation of fish to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This month you can find a Yellow Perch in the river and a Dab in the sea. The best way to catch them quickly is by using baits, but they are also fairly common fish.
According to a post on Nintendo’s blog in Japan, October will bring a whole new event to Animal crossing: New Horizons. The Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday to remember the dead, is celebrated on November 1 and 2. However, Animal crossing players can prepare for the event early by purchasing a Marigold Decoration at Nook Shopping on October 25.
You can also celebrate Day of the Dead with a Candy-Skull mask, which Gulliver provides in exchange for his beach rescue. The game also features music players inspired by Day of the Dead.
A new and improved ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Halloween event is on its way
On October 1, Isabelle will announce that you can start growing pumpkins. To do this, buy Pumpkin Stars from Nook’s Cranny or Lief and plant them like any flower. Green, white, yellow, and orange pumpkins will sprout randomly after a few days, but if you water them frequently, you can get up to three all at once.
Pumpkins are needed for DIY Halloween recipes, which villagers will make every day. Talk to them to receive the recipes. Even if you have them all, speak anyway as they will give you candy instead. You can also buy candy from Nook’s Cranny to stock up on Halloween. Give the candy to the villagers and Jack on Halloween to avoid getting trapped!
As seen in the Nintendo blog post, there are a few new Halloween DIY items this year: the Spooky Tree, the Spooky Trick Lamp, and the Spooky Treats Basket, which players can carry around.
