Japan: Nintendo Switch sells 60K and Nintendo Switch Sports remains No. 1 this week

The latest Japanese video game and boxed hardware charts have come out of the Famitsu sales tracker for the week of May 23, 2022 through May 29, 2022. There are no surprises in the software or hardware charts this week with Nintendo continuing to run the show in the Land of the Rising Sun. The Nintendo Switch family of consoles was again the top-selling hardware with 60,877 additional units and Nintendo Switch Sports continues to dominate the top of the charts selling 32,321 additional copies, bringing total boxed sales in Japan to 419,522. It is followed by Kirby and the Forgotten Land at No. 2 with the latest Kirby game moving a total of 736,287 boxed copies. Here are the best-selling hardware and software:
