Pokemon The Trading Card Game fans can now purchase Celebration Packs.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the collectible card game, The Pokemon Company has released a selection of new sets and packs.

Available starting today (October 8), the latest expansion is supposed to “play 25 years of nostalgia with fierce Pokémon, mind-blowing art, and evolutionary strategies.”

The Pokemon Company explains more: “Each Pokemon TCG expansion is unique, but the Pokemon TCG: Celebrations collection takes the extraordinary to another level.

“Featuring a classic collection in addition to other exciting cards, this expansion features a parade of celebration cards you won’t find anywhere else.

“Celebrate 25 years of Pokemon with a collection that highlights some of the game’s and Pokemon’s most memorable moments.”

Special Celebration Sets include the Elite Trainer Box 25th Anniversary Edition, available from Smyths for £ 52.49.

The Bumper Card Pack includes various card boosters, a foil card, 65 card sleeves, 45 energy cards, a player guide, a rulebook, six damage counter dice, a stack dice or face, two acrylic condition markers, a collection box and a card code.

Slightly cheaper is the Deluxe Pikachu-themed Pinbox, which can be picked up from Smyths for £ 21.99.

Speaking of Pokémon, Nintendo is only a few months away from the release of the Nintendo Switch remakes of Diamond and Pearl.

Upcoming Pokemon games are based on the Nintendo DS versions of the same name.
