Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe Set to Open Summer 2025

Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park, Epic Universe, is set to open in the summer of 2025, according to Comcast, Universal’s parent company. Comcast’s full annual report for 2021 reported strong ridership growth and reported profits as the park continues to rebound from the pandemic.

Comcast reported that theme park revenue jumped to $1.9 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021, boosted by high attendance at their U.S. parks and higher spending per guest in the U.S. and Japan, according to clickorlando . The company attributed the increased revenue to new offerings at its parks, including Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan and the Velocicoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando. Theme park revenue for the year increased from $3 billion to $5.1 billion.

As for Epic Universe, Comcast said construction is progressing at full speed, with an expected opening in summer 2025. Epic Universe will be Universal Orlando’s fourth park, joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and the aquatic, Bay of the Volcano.

While details about the park are sparse, rumors swirl about the park grounds and popular franchises that may be represented.
