Valkyrie Elysium Release Date Officially Revealed With New Trailer

Square Enix and developer Soleil Ltd. announced that Valkyrie Elysee, the upcoming sequel to the Valkyrie Profile game franchise, will officially release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 29 and on PC via Steam on November 11. Along with the release date, a new trailer has also been revealed which showcases gameplay from the upcoming action RPG. While the release date is certainly good news for fans, it’s not really a surprise.

Valkyrie ElyseeThe release date of was actually leaked much earlier today. The date surfaced online in the official PlayStation Store listing for Valkyrie Elysee and was later taken down, but not before some eagle-eyed people spotted it. It was then announced that there would be a new Valkyrie Elysee trailer released today, which gave the leak more credence if the PlayStation Store date wasn’t strong enough. Valkyrie Elysee features “a young Valkyrie entrusted with the fate of the world by the All-Father, Highest of Gods and Ruler of all Creation”, according to Square Enix’s initial announcement in March 2022 during PlayStation State of Play. “She will face various enemies in her quest and will have to use a variety of weapons, magic and the power of her allies to prevent Ragnarok – the destruction of the world”, the description of Valkyrie Elysee at the time continued.

As stated above, Valkyrie Elysee is set to release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 29 and on PC via Steam on November 11. Series regular Motoi Sakuraba did the music for the new game and it features character designs by Yuya Nagai. Prior to Valkyrie Elyseethe last complete video game of the Valkyrie Profile franchise dates back to 2009 Valkyrie Profile: Panache Pact for the Nintendo DS.
