Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is already Switch eShop’s best seller, unsurprisingly
It’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s launch weekend, and while there’s been a lot of demand for the physical versions of the game, it seems like a lot of people are still choosing the digital version of the title.
For some, these purchases may even be due to delays associated with more sophisticated collectible releases. According to the eShop charts in the United States, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is now ahead of Minecraft.
Even games like Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – two titles that just received DLC updates. Digimon Survive also snuck into sixth place, with Live A Live in 9th place, at the time of writing.
It’s the same situation in places like the UK – Xenoblade is in the lead, ahead of games like Among Us, FIFA 22 and Mario Kart. And in Japan, the game also ranks first. To add to that, it is also featured on websites like Amazon.
Again, not a bad start for an RPG series like this. The previous game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sold over 2 million copies, and the Definitive Edition of the original game on Switch moved over 1.5 million copies.
Have you contributed to the digital or physical sales of Xenoblade Chronicles 3? Can you see this becoming the best-selling entry in the series? Leave your thoughts below.
